![]() ![]() Personally I prefer the sword because it’s probably the most versatile hollow weapon having great single target damage while also having ranged and sweeping attacks, and it’s wrath ability is arguably the best in the game, right up there with the storm wrath attack, it’s just the storm is more focused on damage while the stasis is more of a defensive wrath attack, but you can use it offensively since you gain hyper armor while it’s active. Sword: above average damage and range, slightly below average speed. Hammer: slow speed, average range, great damage. Spear: decent damage, decent speed, great range. Chains: fast attacks, pitiful range, decent damage. But i'll give it a shot too, i'm waiting for new content to get some incentive and upgrade other weapons and level up, because the endgame is nonexistent in Dks3 I like the wrath attack which shields you though. Now I have the same first feeling with the Stasis hollow, it seems very slow, doesn't seem to do much damage. The only downside is that you can't clearly see your target lol.Īrcane counter with the storm hollow not only has good range, but it does as much damage as the whip and hits other creatures if at range. Normal attacks are great for singe enemies, Wrath attack is great for several mobs and even for solo bosses, it lasts a long time and does a good amount of stun/damage. At first glance, it wasn't that much faster than the whip and I had already invested a lot of ressources on my whip and Flame hollow.īut for my second playthrough on Apo I focused on the storm hollow to give it a try and, yeah, I was wrong, it's very strong. Though with the higher AS you have a better chance to apply the stasis effect with the scythes.During my first playthrough I didn't even upgrade the storm hollow because I found it pretty useless. Both counters are basically double-attacks, difference is that the edge has the counter go around fury, the scyther go forward and back.Ĭonclusion: This one is really a toss up, both are good. Stasis Hollow: Again, the edge has higher dmg a lower AS. It actually made me use the force hollow during my later playthroughs. Combine it with the Force enchantment from crucible and you have a really nice feeling weapon. Sure, the dmg is lower, but because you can actually get an attack off before getting smacked, it really equalizes. The AOE for axe has a smaller radius, but since its 2 hits, you usually get a getter value out of it.Ĭonclusion: The axe is better. The counter for axe is first a strike and then the jump+AOE. The counter for mallet is jump and then AOE slam. Its a shame because i really like the look of the polearm.įorce Hollow: The mallet has batter fmg but lower AS. The lance IMO has one of the best flowing arcane counters, not too short, not too long + it is ranged. It feels kinda weird to me, and for big groups I use the force Hollow, so I don't have much use for the improved AOE. But if you use it, you can really miss the ranged counter the lance provides.Ĭonclusion: This is really subjective on my part, but I really don't like the polearm. With the counter you slam the polearm into the ground and I think you throw the enemy in the air. The AOE is also better since the back end has also dmg scripted. Storm Hollow: The polearm has more dmg, that I am pretty sure of. Both are good, I use the claws more, but on my last playthrough I really fell in love with the flail. Flails are better for bosses because the couter is faster so you run less risk on getting smacked during it. Attack speed is comparable, if I remember correctly the Claws have a bit higher dmg (but that can just be that I have more levels in there.Ĭonclusion: Claws are better for smaller enemies since you can juggle them pretty well. With talons its multiple slashes + born dmg and the last slash throws the enemy into air (ofc doesn't work for the bog, heavy enemies). I don't have remember the numbers, but these are things I noticed:įlame Hollow: With the flail couter you smack the enemy, make them burn and then jump back a distance.
